Starting the Conversation

God is the Sovereign Creator of all that was, is, and will be. "God is love" (1 John 4:8, 16). Out of His dynamic love God chose to create all that is visible and invisible from nothing (Genesis 1; Colossians 1:16-17). And in His love, God continues to interact with His creation; therefore, God is present in all time yet outside of time. Before time existed, God was. At the end of time as we experience it, God will be.
God is perfect relationship (the triune God--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--who is eternally one in three persons (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)) and it is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that we can know Him. Through Jesus Christ, God has clearly revealed Himself (John 14:9).
Jesus Christ proclaims, "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him" (Matthew 11:27).
On our end, the conversation always begins with the initiative of God. Do you know Jesus Christ personally? He went to great length to get a hold of you...are you willing to answer the call?

  1. Today I was criticized for the first time for being a follower. I was upset about this at first, then while driving home I had some time to think.

At this time I realized, I am proud! I remembered hearing a Bible scripture one time that says something to the extent of "if you are a follower, others will criticize". (If you can help me find that - it will help)

But, after realizing this - I was happy, I was proud! I felt like a true follower!

I was sad for the heart of the one to criticize me, but proud that I am proud of the presence of Jesus in my life. Also, in a way....I feel like I have graduated. That now that someone has made fun of me as others made fun of Jesus my relationship has been taken to a whole new level.

So for me, I feel like I answered a call of sorts from him today.
